On Saturday, December 7th, GFTH Board members and volunteers rounded-up several SUVs and large cars to deliver more than 200 bags of clothing and children’s items to Ella’s Kids in Northeast DC, profit, tax exempt 501 (c)(3) organization that embraces families residing in transitional housing and shelters in the Washington, DC metro area with love, character building, workshops, computer training, and in other areas.  Ella enthusiastically greeted us right at the delivery point along with a number of her own volunteers and supporters who then helped carry in the bountiful donations from the cars to the community clothing closets.  Ella gave us a tour of the facility, which including an opportunity to view Ella’s and partner Calvary’s clothing closet/free store, as well as its food bank.

“Ella’s kids Inc thanks you so much for your diligent hard work every year to help the less fortunate,” said Ella Strother, founder and Executive Director of Ella’s Kids, Inc.  Ella, we thank you for playing a significant role in the community and helping so many people in need — you are an amazing person and your volunteers are appreciated as well!
