GFTH is pleased to announce that the Unnamed Party, the band comprised of members of Arent Fox, Hunton Williams, and Paul Hastings, is the 2016 Banding Together champion!!
This is the third — yes, third! — time that the Unnamed Party has taken top Banding Together honors, and they were also last year’s runner-up. Their music rocked the Black Cat, and the tens of thousands of dollars they raised for GFTH is truly incredible.
Honorable mention goes to Sutherland Comfort, the band including members of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan, who, after besting the Unnamed Party and taking first-place in 2015, had yet another incredible showing and finished second this year. We hope this fierce competition continues in future events!
In all, Banding Together 2016 was again a resounding success, raising over $230,000 while 16 bands from throughout the legal community rocked the Black Cat’s packed crowd on June 23, 2016. And the hits will keep on coming, as these funds will greatly assist the DC-area’s homeless through GFTH’s purchases of essential clothing items that we will send to shelters and other homeless service providers in our area!! Numerous organizations rely upon GFTH — a non-profit comprised mostly of DC-area legal professionals and no paid staff or overhead — to supply their clothing needs.
